Who Was The Beast According to The Bible?

Introduction

If a person wants to follow the straight path, then many negative forces try to take him away from God and these negative forces can be many such as Satan, false worship systems and oppressive rulers. In fact, the Bible uses a word called “beast” which is a symbolic name that means that there are many systems in our society that lead people down the wrong path instead of the right path. Their own hereafter must be ruined, but they also want to ruin the hereafter of others. Such a system is called a beast.

Verse

The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. (Revelation 13:1)

The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. (Revelation 13:5)

Appearance of The Beast

There are many systems in the world, some are very powerful and many are wrong that lead people down the path of sin. This system is very powerful. It is described as a beast with seven heads and 10 horns which looks very scary. Also he looks very strong and powerful. Actually, these seven heads mean governments which are very powerful and the sign of their power is the horns above their heads. These governmental systems use their power and lead people away from God’s right paths to false gods and false systems.

It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. (Revelation 13:7)

“If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” (Revelation 13:10)

Role of The Beast

Not everyone in this world is a believer of God, there are many people who stand against God and those who walk in the path of God. They also want to take them away from God. These are satanic governments and satanic organizations whose job is to mislead people. They don’t want the world and the hereafter to be good for these people and their job is only to explain wrong beliefs. These systems force people to follow false gods and false divinity instead of one God. This can include many things such as false prophets, false gods, false divinity and false governments. These are all evil systems that have nothing to do with holiness and will not go away until Jesus comes again and destroys them.

It exercised all the authority of the first beast on its behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. (Revelation 13:12)

Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. (Revelation 13:14)

There is both good and evil in the world. Now it depends on a person whether he goes towards good or evil. However, when he goes towards good, evil stops him from doing good deeds and tries his best to make that person fall on the path of evil. Similarly, when a person leaves good and follows the path of evil, they are given the mark of the beast. They are those who follow the beast. He abandoned God and adopted the beast, he abandoned the truth and adopted falsehood, he abandoned good and adopted evil, such a person will have a very bad situation, he will be embarrassed in this world and his situation will be very bad in the hereafter. And God will punish them and they will not be given any mercy.

It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, (Revelation 13:16)

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, (Revelation 14:9)

Connection of The Beast With The Dragon

All the false systems that are running or the false gods that have come are related to Satan because Satan is the enemy of God. He does not want the followers of God to grow. He wants people to accept Satan as their God instead of the real God and follow him. In fact, all the false systems are followers of Satan. Evil forces abound in our society but good people know less about them. These demonic powers push away man from his real God and because of this, his hereafter would ruin. False systems, false Gods and false prophets are all Satan’s propaganda.

Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads.(Revelation 12:3)

The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)

Defeat of The Beast

Lies can be as powerful but there comes a time when they will end. The end of this evil and beastly system will be when Jesus will come back to this world. He will uproot this system then all people will be believers of one God because truth always prevails over evil. That is why all the satanic systems that are going on will end when Jesus will come.

But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. (Revelation 19:20)

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)
