Joseph of Arimathea Who Provided His Tomb For Jesus’ Burial

Background of Joseph
Joseph was a very righteous and God-fearing person. He belonged to a very rich family and held an important position in the Jewish council. The people of this committee were against Jesus and decided to kill Jesus While Joseph opposed it because he believed that Jesus is the prophet who came from God and believed his teachings to be true. Therefore, he did not want this decision to happen. Because of his fear, he could not make any important plans. Jesus was crucified. Role of Joseph
When Jesus was hanged on the cross, no one was allowed to carry his body. The rest of the disciples were too afraid to take any action. Joseph had his own tomb built for himself and made a will that when he died, he would be buried in the same tomb. That tomb was built near Jerusalem. There were some hills near Jerusalem. Joseph had his tomb prepared by digging these hills. When Jesus died, he needed a grave to bury him and it was already too late.
