The Two Witnesses Who Prophesy During the End Times

Two Witnesses in The Bible

Do you know in which country the Beast will kill these two witnesses?

In fact, in the Book of Revelation, it is described as Sodom or Egypt. However, many scholars believe that he will die in Jerusalem because Jesus was also crucified there.

Introduction

When the world is about to end, God will send two witnesses who will forecast. Their aim will be to call people to God and ask them to repent because in the last days of the world people will fall into sins and forget God. The purpose of these witnesses will be to try to bring them closer to God by showing miracles and telling them that the doomsday is near, the world is going to be destroyed, so repent of your sins as soon as possible and turn to God. But they will be killed.

Verse

And I will grant my two witnesses authority to prophesy for one thousand two hundred sixty days, wearing sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the Earth. (Revelation 11:3-4)

Verse

And by it there are two olive trees, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”I said to the angel who spoke with me, “What are these, my lord?” (Zechariah 4:3-4)

Identification of Two Witnesses

Identification of Two Witnesses

Who will these two witnesses be? It is not mentioned in the Bible, but it is mentioned which miracles will be given to them. In fact, God will give them great miracles like turning water into blood, raining fire from the sky. Because of which people will understand that they are witnesses from God and their job is to warn. But still many will not believe. Scholars believe that these two witnesses will be Moses and Elijah because the miracles mentioned near the resurrection are similar to their miracles. So there are more chances that Moses and Elijah will come as two witnesses.

Verse

And if anyone wants to harm them, fire pours from their mouth and consumes their foes; anyone who wants to harm them must be killed in this manner. They have authority to shut the sky, so that no rain may fall during the days of their prophesying, and they have authority over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague, as often as they desire. (Revelation 11:5-6)

Verse

The Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron: Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt—over its rivers, its canals, and its ponds, and all its pools of water—so that they may become blood, and there shall be blood throughout the whole land of Egypt, even in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.” Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded. In the sight of Pharaoh and of his officials he lifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile; all the water in the river was turned into blood, (Exodus 7:19-20)

Martyr of Witnesses

Near the Day of Resurrection, people will have gone astray and turned away from God, so that they will not believe in the witnesses sent by God and they will deny it. At that time, there will be a Beast among them who will kill him, but before killing them, these two must have shown their miracles and warned the people that the Day of Judgment is approaching, return to God and leave the sins. Later they will be killed and their bodies will lie on the ground for three days. Later they will be taken up to heaven and a strong earthquake will be sent which will kill 7 thousand people. When the rest of the people will see the punishment then they will realize and they will repent but they will be very few people.

Miracle of Witnesses

People do not believe in anything without a miracle. Therefore, God will send these two witnesses with miracles. These miracles would include turning water into blood, raining down fire from heaven, and stopping water. But the misfortune of these people will be that even after seeing these miracles, they will not believe in them and will follow the path of Satan until the Beast of that time will kill them.

Despite God’s miracles, these witnesses will be killed. Then God will punish those people and send an earthquake that will kill many sinners and only a few will return to the path of God. Actually, God wants to do all this to inform people and give them a last chance to come to God, because later when the Day of Judgment comes, no chance will be given.

Purpose of Forecasting

God’s purpose in sending these witnesses is to inform people because He does not want bad for anyone; He wants them all to have a good hereafter. Therefore, he wants to call the people for guidance for the last time. He will send these witnesses, but the people will not come to God because they will be too much involved in sins. Only some people who have a little fear of God left in their hearts will return to God and be saved from the destruction of the Hereafter.
